Cheshire Cat Pixel Bag

A dear friend of mine is a fan of Alice in Wonderland. Honestly who doesn't enjoy Alice in Wonderland? Part of what attracts me to Alice is how much creativity there is in both the original books and the works inspired from them. I am going to be making a "pixel" bag using 1 1/2" squares to make the front. This will be based of a cross stitch pattern so forgive me for not posting the actual pattern here. But this is what the cross stitch looks like finished:

This has a total of 8 colors in it, including the background.

To give you an idea of the pieces. I am using 4 light pinks (I need to purchase the fourth) to make up the lower face, two medium pinks for the top half, a darker pink for the nose. The card fabric will make up the background. Wish me luck :)

Project of Doom

These pictures are the most recently updated ones I have from the Project of Doom quilt along. I am planning of having an entire row extra so not all of them are part of the original quilt. Some I have been testing for others and some I either adapted or designed myself.

Project of Doom - Dark Arts

Have you heard of the Project of Doom? How about Fandom In Stitches? Check out the Project of Doom here. There are 30 blocks released once a week until all 30 are released. This particular version is a very adapted one. Some of the blocks are released by the designer, some are created by other designers and a couple are my own design. As I get through them I will be posting my designs in the Tested Designs section. Scabbers (third row block one), and the witch hat book ends (row five) are my design.

Solo and the Wookie - Chewbacca

Lots and lots of browns in Chewbacca, I could probably have added even more. He is actually not nearly as difficult as he looks at first glance. The actual piecing sections are fairly large (at least compared to other projects I have been working on) and they are essentially mapped out string piecing. I spent 3-4 hours at this point and found a fair amount of corrections for the final pattern.

Solo and the Wookie

This pattern was designed out of the need of an interesting self designed challenge and possibly from spending too much time with Quilt Assistant. It measures 25" x 30", has 56 parts, and prints at 25 pages. If I remember correctly it has a total of 151 pieces.
